Claims Reprocessing Initiative for Out of Network Claims

Aetna Student Health is committed to keeping you informed about student health insurance plans administered by Chickering Claims Administrators, Inc., now doing business as Aetna Student Health. We want to make you are aware that we are reprocessing a percentage of our claims and will be reaching out to current and former students to make additional payments for these claims. Because we underpaid certain claims from health care providers who are not part of our network, we will be issuing an additional payment to either the student or the provider for those claims. We will send letters to our active and inactive student members regarding each of these claims to ask for their help in determining whether the payment is due to the student or the provider. The reprocessing will not lead to any additional costs for students or health care providers.
