Eligibility
Pine Manor requires all three-quarter and full time students to be enrolled in a health insurance plan while attending the College. To meet this requirement, you may either choose to be enrolled in Pine Manor’s Student Health Insurance Plan (also called the “Student Health Plan”) or rely on your own coverage, if comparable. International students are enrolled on a mandatory basis and cannot waive the Student Health Insurance Plan.

International students are enrolled on a mandatory basis and cannot waive the PMC Student Health Insurance Plan.
Requirements for Comparable Coverage IMPORTANT INFORMATION
For coverage to qualify as comparable, Massachusetts Law requires that the policy must:
*If you are going to lose coverage during the 2021-2022 academic year, you may complete a waiver form for now. When your other coverage ends, however, you will need to enroll in the PMC Student Health Insurance Plan due to your loss of other coverage or enroll in another comparable plan. To enroll in the PMC Student Insurance Health Plan due to your loss of other coverage, you will need to contact University Health Plans (UHP) for details on your eligibility and the required premium payment. Your enrollment request (including supporting insurance documentation and full premium payment) must be received by UHP before the 60th day following the last day of your plan.
Students Covered by Health Safety Net, Mass Health Limited, or Children’s Medical Security Plan
If you are covered by Health Safety Net, Mass Health Limited, or Children’s Medical Security Plan, you are not eligible to waive the Student Health Insurance Plan.
Although many families may have insurance, it's important to ensure that students are adequately covered in the area of their school. Though many of a student’s general and mental health issues can be met by PMC’s Student Health Services, there are times when outside providers or additional consultation is warranted. At such times, the Student Health Plan sponsored by the College would provide coverage both locally and worldwide and would allow students to have access to nationwide networks of preferred providers and participating pharmacies.
Enrollment Process
If you will be covered by the PMC Student Health Insurance Plan and wish to expedite the processing of your enrollment, you must submit the Enrollment Form located on the left side of this page by the deadline. This also applies to students who were previously on the PMC Student Health Insurance Plan in a prior policy year and would like to be re-enrolled for the time during the new year for which they are eligible.
