Dear Parent or Guardian:
All Worcester Academy students are required to have health insurance as a condition of enrollment. International students are automatically enrolled in the Worcester Academy Student Health Plan. The cost of the health insurance is included in the International Student Fee for one year, beginning August 1, 2021 and ending July 31, 2022.
Dental care and vision care, including eye examination and eye glasses are not covered in the health insurance benefits. However separate policies are available for purchase on an individual voluntary basis at www.universityhealthplans.com.
Please review and keep for your records the 2021-22 International Student Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan Brochure. You can view it at www.universityhealthplans.com, select Worcester Academy, and then Benefit Information.
On review of the UnitedHealthcare StudentResources Health Insurance, please note this plan is subject to deductibles including but not limited to; Emergency Room care, Urgent care treatment, prescription medications, and a $250 maximum benefit for Immunizations. We suggest all students have at least $250 loaded to their MyHilltop card in the WA Business Office. Any costs incurred in the care of your child not covered by health insurance benefits are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
The Worcester Academy Health Office will assist you in managing your child’s health insurance benefits. You are asked to complete “Appointment As Personal Representative” form to enable communication of the Health Office on your student’s behalf with UnitedHealthcare.
The form is included on MAGNUS electronic student medical records for your completion.
Thank you for entrusting us with the care of your child. Their good health, well-being and safety is our utmost concern.
Questions about the insurance should be directed to University Health Plans at 1-800-437-6448 or email email@example.com.
