New Jersey City University
STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN

2021-2022 Academic Year

Health Insurance Requirement and Eligibilty

Under the New Jersey law, NJCU must offer health insurance to its full-time students. NJCU meets the requirement by offering a Student Health Insurance Plan. NJCU requires all full-time undergraduates taking 12 or more credits and graduates taking 9 or more credits to carry health insurance. All full-time students are automatically charged and must take action by completing an online waiver form if they wish to waive the fee. Please note: Students enrolled in a fully online program are exempt from this requirement.

Plan Highlights

The Student Health Insurance Plan will continue to be insured by Aetna Student Health

NJCU has partnered with University Health Plans to administer the plan and help with waiver, enrollment, or benefit-related questions. If you have questions about the waiver or enrollment process, please contact University Health Plans at 833-251-1252 or info@univhealthplans.com
