STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN
2023-2024
Gonzaga Global is pleased to announce that for the 2023-2024 Academic Year we have teamed up with Wellfleet Student and University Health Plans (UHP) to provide health insurance coverage for our students. The Gonzaga Global Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) provides substantial benefits for covered medical expenses at a reasonable cost.
Eligibility
All Gonzaga Global students are required to enroll in the Gonzaga Global SHIP. Therefore, students are automatically enrolled and no action is necessary.
Plan Highlights
The Gonzaga Global SHIP is provided by Wellfleet Student. We encourage you to review the coverage by selecting the "Benefit Information” tab in the navigation menu on the left-hand side of this page. Below are some of the highlights of the insurance plan.
- Access to PHCS/Multiplan provider network
- Prescription drug coverage
- Office Visit: $10 Copay
- Urgent Care: $10 Copay
- Emergency Room: 10% coinsurance, after deductible (waived if admitted)
- Student Health Center claims are covered at 100%

Vision Plan
The vision plan is provided by VSP Vision Care. The complete description of benefits and participating provider search can be found by viewing the links under "Vision Insurance" in the navigation menu on the left-hand side of this page. Enrollment in this plan is mandatory. All students will be automatically enrolled, and no action is necessary. Once you are enrolled, no ID cards or claim forms are needed when you see a VSP Network Doctor. Tell the doctor you are a VSP member when making the appointment. Please note, the coverage periods for VSP are different than the Wellfleet medical policy. Please refer to the below table for the 2023-2024 coverage periods.
