Summer @ Wellesley
STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN
Summer 2019
Summer 2020 Information Coming Soon!
Introduction
Summer @ Wellesley is pleased to announce that for summer 2019 we have partnered with United Healthcare StudentResources (UHCSR) to provide health insurance coverage to our international students and US citizens living abroad who attend our summer residential programs including: Summer Term, Contemporary Women's Leadership, Pre-College Immersive and Pre-College Exploratory.
Insurance Enrollment and Waiver Process
Due to differences in international health care plans and systems, we cannot guarantee that your health insurance coverage will be valid in the United States or that doctors/hospitals will accept your international health insurance, even in an emergency. Therefore, all visiting international students are required to purchase the Summer @ Wellesley Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan. Please contact University Health Plans at (800) 437-6448 if you are covered by a health insurance plan that provides comprehensive coverage in the Wellesley College area and would like to waive the Summer @ Wellesley student health insurance plan. In order to waive, students must have a plan that provides emergency and non-emergency care including coverage for preventative/routine care, specialists including mental/behavioral health, laboratory services and pharmacy benefits.
Once enrolled, you will receive an email from United Healthcare StudentResources to set up an online account to download a PDF of your insurance ID card. You can set up your online account by clicking here. You will also receive an email from University Health Plans with your insurance and pharmacy information. If you have questions about your coverage, please contact University Health Plans at 800-437-6448 or info@univhealthplans.com.

Summer @ Wellesley's Healthcare Guidelines
All students planning to attend, and live at, Wellesley College over the summer are required to provide proof of vaccinations and meet the State of Massachusetts Immunization Requirements. For additional information about the MA Immunization Requirements, please refer to the document in the left navigation menu of this page. Forms must be printed and signed by a licensed clinician and parent/guardian. Due dates for health requirement submission must be adhered to and can be found here. For this reason, Wellesley College encourages families to prepare required documentation for upload in advance of deposit due date.
