STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN
2023-2024
Cleveland State Global (CSU Global) is pleased to announce that for the 2023-2024 Academic Year we have teamed up with Wellfleet Student and University Health Plans (UHP) to provide health insurance coverage for our students. The CSU Global Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) provides substantial benefits for covered medical expenses at a reasonable cost.
Eligibility
All CSU Global students are required to enroll in the CSU Global SHIP. Therefore, students are automatically enrolled, and no action is necessary.
Progressed Students
All CSU Global students will be automatically enrolled in the CSU Global student health insurance plan and do not need to take any action to renew their coverage. If you have questions about your enrollment, please contact the CSU Global Student Services team via email at insurance@clevelandstateglobal.org.
Plan Highlights
The CSU Global SHIP is provided by Wellfleet Student. We encourage you to review the coverage by selecting the "Benefit Information” tab in the navigation menu on the left-hand side of this page. Below are some of the highlights of the insurance plan.
- Access to Cigna’s nationwide PPO provider network
- Unlimited maximum benefit per plan year
- Prescription drug coverage
- Office Visit: $10 Copay
- Urgent Care: $10 Copay
- Emergency Room: 10% coinsurance, after deductible (waived if admitted)
- Emergency Transportation (Ambulance):10% coinsurance, after deductible
- Student Health Center: Claims are paid at 100% for covered medical services when rendered at the Student Health Center

Dental Plan
The dental plan offered for the 2023-2024 Policy Year is included in the Wellfleet medical plan and students can visit any dentist of their choice, as there is no specific network of dentists to choose from. The complete description of benefits can be found in the 2023-2024 Brochure located in the "Benefit Information" tab in the navigation menu on the left-hand side of this page. Enrollment in this plan is mandatory. All students will be automatically enrolled, and no action is necessary.
Vision Plan
The vision plan offered for the 2023-2024 Policy Year is VSP Vision Care. The complete description of benefits and participating provider search can be found by clicking "Vision Insurance" in the left-hand side navigation menu. Enrollment in this plan is mandatory. All students will be automatically enrolled, and no action is necessary. Once you are enrolled, no ID cards or claim forms are needed when you see a VSP Network Doctor. Tell the doctor you are a VSP member when making the appointment.
