Eligibility and Enrollment Process
In accordance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts state regulation, Quincy College requires all all full-time and three-quarter time international students taking 9 or more credit hours to be enrolled in the Quincy College International Student Health Insurance Plan. Minimum benefit levels and services that are required by the SHIP are set forth in the Qualifying Student Health Insurance Program (QSHIP) regulation.
Quincy College requires all international students to be insured with a plan that is filed and approved in the U.S., compliant with the ACA (Affordable Care Act), and provides no limit on Essential Health Benefits. All international students will be automatically enrolled in the SHIP and do not need to take any action.
Plan Highlights
The 2025-2026 Quincy College Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) is provided by Wellfleet Student. The plan is ACA-compliant and includes access to Cigna’s national PPO network of providers. Students do not have to select a primary care physician and referrals are not required. Waiver/Enrollment Process
International students are not permitted to waive out of the Quincy College Student Health Insurance Plan. All eligible international students in the U.S. will be automatically enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan and do not need to take any action.
