Before enrolling, we encourage students to compare all other insurance options. Pennie offers information for Pennsylvania residents about their online marketplace where you can compare and purchase insurance plans. You may be eligible for a Subsidized Health Plan (a low-or-no-cost insurance program for qualifying uninsured adults).
Before accessing the enrollment form, read the following and acknowledge the statements below.
- For the 2026-2027 policy period, the insurance carrier will be Aetna Student Health.
- I have compared all other insurance options and still choose to enroll in the Thomas Jefferson 2026-2027 student health insurance plan.
Aetna 1095-B Tax Form
Digital 1095-B tax forms will be available through the Aetna Member Portal on the Aetna Student Health website starting the last week of January, and no later than January 31st.
Students will receive an email notification at the email address on file once the form is available.
If you have not already created an account, you’ll need to select “Create Account” on the Aetna Member Portal to register before accessing your tax form.

Important considerations before enrolling
If you have previously had dental insurance within the past 90 days, then the waiting period will be waived; otherwise, you will need to fulfill the waiting period before services are covered.
If you are an international student, please email ASHIVLID@aetna.com to enroll in Aetna Dental IVL plan. Include your first name, last name, date of birth and school name. Aetna will respond to your request within two business days.
