Due to the rising cost of healthcare and increased utilization of the Clark University Student Health Insurance Plan,
the following changes have been made:
The out-of-pocket maximum is $9,000 combined medical and pharmacy.
$250 deductible – does not apply to Emergency Room, Office Visits, Ambulance, Lab & X-Ray
The retail prescription copays are now $20 for Generic, 30% coinsurance for Preferred Brand, 30% coinsurance for Non-Preferred Brand and 50% coinsurance for Specialty Preferred Brand and 50% coinsurance for Specialty Non-Preferred Brand.
Your plan uses the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Formulary — Focused
The Focused Formulary does not cover GLP-1 medications approved for weight loss, including but not limited to Saxenda, liraglutide, Wegovy, and Zepbound.
GLP-1 medications that are FDA-approved to treat diabetes will continue to be covered.
Step 1: Select the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Formulary.
Step 2: Search for your medication by name and select the 5-Tier Plan.
