Please note, with the rising costs of healthcare, and increase in utilization of Nichols College student health plan, the following plan changes have been imposed for the 2023-2024 academic year to help keep the insurance premium and the plan a viable option for all students.
The plan design changes for 2023-2024 can have a significant impact on out-of-pocket costs. Specifically, specialty drugs will now require the insured to pay 30% of the prescription cost, up to the $9,100 out-of-pocket maximum. The Blue Cross Blue Shield Medication Tier Lookup Tool is available online here.
Before enrolling, we encourage students to compare all other insurance options. The Massachusetts Health Connector offers information for Massachusetts residents about the online marketplace where you can compare and purchase insurance plans. You may be eligible for a Subsidized Health Plan (a low-or-no-cost insurance program for qualifying uninsured adults).
