Aetna has changed the steps required to access your insurance ID card.
- Click here to begin the ID card lookup process.
- Enter your School Name and choose Get your ID Card
- Enter the following information when prompted:
- Student ID
- Date of Birth
- School Email Address Use your official Wake Forest University School of Medicine email as it was provided to Aetna. This is in the first initial last name at wakehealth.edu format (e.g., flast@wakehealth.edu, where f is your first initial and last is your last name).
- Submit your information. If your Student ID, DOB, and school email match Aetna’s records, your available ID card(s) will be displayed. If you experience issues authenticating and/or would like to verify the demographic information in Aetna’s system, please contact Aetna customer Service at 1-877-480-4161.
- Select the ID card(s) you wish to receive and click “Send Email.” Optional: If you'd like the ID card sent to a different email address, click “Edit” and enter your preferred email.
- Check your inbox.
You’ll receive a secure email from Mimecast with a PDF of your ID card attached.
- Mimecast account setup:
If you don’t already have a Mimecast account, you’ll be prompted to create one to access the secure email with your ID.
