New England Law | Boston is pleased to announce that for the 2017-2018 Academic Year we have teamed up with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBS) and University Health Plans (UHP) to provide health insurance coverage for our students. Details about the Student Health Insurance Plan can be found by selecting Benefit Information in the left-hand side navigation menu on this page.
All students enrolled in 9 or more credits are required by Massachusetts State law to enroll in the Student Health Insurance or be covered by a health insurance plan with comparable coverage. Therefore, all students enrolled in 9 or more credits are automatically charged the Student Health Insurance Fee. If the student is already enrolled in a comparable health insurance plan, then the student must fill out an online waiver form. The online waiver form can be accessed by selecting waiver form in the left-hand side navigation menu on this page. If you do not submit an online waiver form by the deadline below, you will automatically be enrolled in the New England Law | Boston’s Student Health Insurance Plan and responsible for the fee.
Students that would like to enroll in the Student Health Insurance should confirm enrollment by completing the enrollment form in the left-hand side navigation menu on this page. Confirming enrollment will ensure you receive your insurance card sooner than through the automatic enrollment process.
The Student Health Insurance Fee is $2,562 and will be charged on the fall tuition bill. Annual coverage is effective 8/1/17-7/31/18. The deadline to waive the Annual Student Health Insurance Plan is August 21, 2017. UHP is available to manage the enrollment and answer general questions about the insurance plan. To speak with a representative, please call (800) 437-6448 or send an email to email@example.com. If you have specific questions regarding the benefits, please feel free to contact Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts at (888) 753-6615. If you have questions about your tuition bill, please contact the Office of Student Accounts at 617-422-7302.
