Qualifying Event Enrollment
Students who waived the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) and recently lost or will be losing their other coverage or have moved to the U.S. for the first time can contact 781-239-4219 or babsonsfs@babson.edu to request a qualifying event enrollment form. The deadline to complete the enrollment form is 60 days from the qualifying life event date.
Students will be asked to provide supporting documentation and the prorated premium will be added to the student account. The first day of coverage in the Babson College SHIP will be the first day without coverage under the prior plan or date of entry into the U.S.
Prescription Drug Search
Your plan uses the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Formulary — Focused
The Focused Formulary does not cover GLP-1 medications approved for weight loss, including but not limited to Saxenda, liraglutide, Wegovy, and Zepbound.
GLP-1 medications that are FDA-approved to treat diabetes will continue to be covered.
