Massachusetts requires students enrolled in at least 75% of full time, who are not enrolled solely in short term courses or an online program, to be covered by health insurance. All Cambridge College Undergraduate Students taking 9 or more credits and Graduate Students taking 6 or more credits are automatically enrolled in and charged for the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). Students may opt-out of the SHIP by submitting a waiver form documenting proof of comparable coverage by the deadline each academic year.

The Cambridge College Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) is insured by Wellfleet. The plan is ACA compliant and includes access to the PHCS national network of PPO providers. Students do not have to select a primary care physician and referrals are not required. Refer to the Undergraduate and Graduate plan summaries located in the navigation menu on the left.
Cambridge College has partnered with University Health Plans to support the plan and help with waiver, enrollment or benefit-related questions. University Health Plans can be reached at 833-251-1734 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Students with claim-related questions can contact Wellfleet at 877-657-5030.
Students covered by a US health insurance plan that provides comprehensive health benefits near the Cambridge College Campus can request to opt-out of the SHIP by completing the waiver form in the navigation menu to the left by the deadline above. Before waiving, compare the cost, coverage, and benefits of the SHIP to your existing plan.
Eligible students enrolled in the SHIP may enroll their dependents via the form on the left side of the page by the deadline above. Dependents include your spouse and children under age 26. Dependent coverage, if any, begins and ends with the student's coverage.
